Kayanoya Chicken Dashi 茅乃舎鶏高湯

Chicken Dashi Stock Powder is made from high quality Japanese domestic chicken. Since it does not contain any vegetables, it has a good taste and aroma and can be used for a wide range of dishes, including Chinese dishes, as well as Japanese and Western dishes. A small amount of sea salt is added to enhance the umami of the chicken broth.
One packet in 1 ¾ cups water (400 ml) for regular-strength dashi, or two packets in 2 cups water (500 ml) for hearty dashi. Place water and unopened packet in saucepan. Bring water to simmer over medium heat, and hold temperature for 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove and discard packet(s). Stock is ready to use.
