Light in Sodium Vegetable Stock Powder is made from the highest-quality vegetables, grown with meticulous care in Japan. This mixture of dehydrated vegetables, with 67% less sodium, is a naturally rich source of umami (savory flavor) with a touch of sweetness—perfect for vegetarian and vegan dishes. Use in soups, pastas, salads, and stir-fried, grilled and grain-based dishes. The rich umami enhances any meat, poultry or seafood.
One packet in 1 ¾ cups water (400 ml) for regular-strength dashi, or two packets in 2 cups water (500 ml) for hearty dashi. Place water and unopened packet in saucepan. Bring water to simmer over medium heat, and hold temperature for 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove and discard packet(s). Stock is ready to use.
