Tokushima Handa Sōmen is a traditional hand-stretched noodle from Handa, Tokushima Prefecture — a region famous for its fine noodle craftsmanship dating back over 250 years. Made from high-quality wheat flour, salt, and pristine Shikoku water, these thin noodles are carefully stretched and air-dried using time-honored methods.
Handa Sōmen is slightly thicker and chewier than standard somen, with a smooth, silky texture that holds up beautifully in both hot and cold dishes. Its light, clean taste makes it perfect for summer meals or delicate Japanese soups.
