In Konan City, Kochi Prefecture, the watermelons in this area are cultivated in an unusual way by hanging the fruit with strings, so that the fruits and the leaves are exposed evenly to the sun.  Thus, maximize the exposure of sunlight to increase the sweetness of the fruit.   At present, five farmers are growing watermelons under the brand name "Luna Piena" which means the full moon in Italian.  These are all naturally grown so the sweetness of the fruit is 100% natural.  After the first bite you will cry for more guarantee! 

Luna Piena是用罕見的“立體種植”培植，因爲西瓜的葉子和果實全天侯均勻地在陽光下培植，以減少不均勻性，同時使用有機肥料，因此可以製作出糖分高的西瓜。 所有分篩選工作均由生產者完成，並通過兩部分篩選方法檢查糖含量後，生產者在收割時首先在田上檢查每個西瓜聲音，符合規格才可以收割。高知縣JA 的Luna Piena每個約2.5kg，平均含糖量約12度，高於盛夏時的西瓜，其酥脆質感可與夏瓜相媲美。
