Okinawa Shikuwasa is a citrus fruit native to Okinawa, a prefecture in southern Japan. It is highly prized for its unique flavor and health benefits. Shikuwasa has a small, round shape, resembling a lime or a small tangerine.

Shikuwasa is often enjoyed in its juice form, either freshly squeezed or as a popular carbonated beverage known as "Shekwasha Soda." The juice is also used as a refreshing ingredient in cocktails, teas, and desserts.

Shikuwasa limes can also be used in many dishes, both sweet and savory.  They are often used as a marinade or sauce for grilled meat, like yakiniku and fish. During Japan’s humid summers, cold noodles like zaru udon (cold, thick Japanese wheat noodles), zaru soba (cold Japanese buckwheat noodles), and somen (cold, thin Japanese wheat noodles) are often flavored with shikuwasa. 

沖繩農特產品「Shikuwasa」外頭被深綠色的皮包覆著, 裡面的果肉呈現多汁的黃色柑橘。在沖繩人們常常會在料理和飲料中添加香檬汁, 稍微帶點苦澀味和刺激的酸味, 是炎炎夏日裡喚醒疲憊身體的最佳飲品。 香檬的收穫期間是從7月起到隔年的2月為止。 相較其他農產品, 有長期驚人的收成期。 香檬含有豐富的維他命C和檸檬酸等營養成分。可用於火鍋、烤肉、刺身、冷豆腐等。
